Katrina Morse is teaching a class Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. Learn how to look! Become confident in your drawing skills. Based on exercises in the book Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain by Betty Edwards, we will explore how to LOOK so that participants can draw realistically. Classes are held at the First Presbyterian Church, 315 N. Cayuga Street, Ithaca. Saturdays 10:30 a.m.–12, May 16, 30, June 6, 13 (no class on Memorial Day weekend, May 23) Register at the Blue Door Studio for $160. Skill Level is beginner to intermediate.

Hsiao-Pei Yang

Hsiao-Pei is showing work in the show Air, Light, Mood and Beyond: A Collection of Plein Air Paintings at Library Place, 105 W Court St, Ithaca. The show runs April 1–May 31. The opening reception is Friday, April 3, 5–8 p.m. The gallery is open to the public Tuesday to Saturday 5–9 p.m., or by appointment.
